Downey High School -- Tenth Grade Class

I can only make a semi-educated guess as to what class this is. I did not take many classes with a lot of girls in them except English and this is definately not in the "R" building where all the English classes were. Also, this is not in "J" where all the foreign languages were. This is not any science or math class. Judging from the arrangement of the windows it looks like this room is in the "I" building. Based upon all of these clues my guess is this is somthing like a History or Civics class. It could be that these pictures are different views of the same room. However, it seems that in the bottom picture everyone is setting alphabetically by last name behind Lonnie. In the top picture there is no alphabetical seating arrangement evident.
