Model Railroad Pictures

These are a series of pictures taken in August and September 2004 just prior to the dismantling of the train layout. The construction of this layout began in 1990.

This Marklin HO layout is set in a mythical location in Southern Bavaria.

Main station with town in background. Marklin 7294 transfer table is in far background bracketed by smokestack and cathedral. Caternary spans and towers from already dismantled under-layout storage tracks are stacked in the green field adjacent to the town.

Bavarian town with Dom, Rathhaus, and half-timbered houses.

High speed electrified train passing town.

General view with "Falkenstein" castle on top of escarpment. The bridge constists of a Marklin 7263 arch center span with 7262 truss spans on either side. Curved ramp sections are at each end of the span.
